Every year around 27th January people around the world pay tribute to the memory of the victims of the Holocaust. The date, which has been designated as International Holocaust Remembrance Day, marks the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau by the Red Army in 1945. Different events, assemblies or speeches will be organized worldwide to highlight this historic anniversary and reaffirm, thereby, countries’ commitment to counter antisemitism.
